10 hometown memories

Big Barry Bonds moments at Candlestick and China Basin:

April 12, 1993 - Homers in first home at-bat with Giants, before crowd of 56,689.

Sept. 27, 1997 - Climbs on dugout at Candlestick to lead cheers after Giants clinch NL West.

Oct. 5, 2001 - Hits 71st and 72nd homers to break single-season record.

Oct. 24, 2002 - In Game 5 of World Series, goes 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, a walk and RBI as Giants blow out Angels 16-4 for 3-games-to-2 lead.

June 23, 2003 - In 11th inning of 2-2 game against Dodgers, draws leadoff walk, steals second and then scores the winning run. It was his 500th career steal and made him baseball's first (and still only) 500-500 man.

July 24, 2003 - In ninth inning of 2-2 game against Arizona, throws out Craig Counsell at plate, then comes to bat and hits out first pitch to end game. It was his 470th home run as a Giant, making him all-time San Francisco leader. All on his 39th birthday.

Aug. 19 & 21, 2003 - Hits 10th-inning homers to beat Braves each night. He had been missing games to be with father, Bobby, who died Aug. 23.

April 12, 2004 - Hits homer No. 660 to tie Willie Mays.

May 28, 2006 - Hits No. 715 to pass Babe Ruth.

Aug. 7, 2007 - Hits No. 756 to pass Hank Aaron and become all-time home run king.
